Fan Death Code in Oblivion Gate

Using a case study of thoughtforms interpreted in the language of cybernetics, where collective belief systems alter physiology through consciousness as receiver-transmitter.

In this context a thoughtform is not a metaphor. It is a self-reinforcing pattern that circulates through a population, using the host as both antenna and amplifier.

This works through a co-regulatory process: The sign (surface) is a fixed signal carrying a discrete unit of information. The wavelength is the continuous carrier beneath this surface, the form of a belief system without content or meaning. This project addresses a case in which the belief system functions as an architecture of concealment, obscuring the mechanism that produces the phenomena it claims to name.
